The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said it occured Monday morning.

A 13-year-old girl was waiting at Moncur Lane and Markham Woods Road at 8:30 a.m. when a man driving a green compact car pulled up and asked if she wanted any candy.

She refused.

Deputies say when he tried to engage her in a conversation, she told him to go away and he did, in a northerly direction on Markham Woods.

The child described the man as white, about 35 years old, with red hair and a goatee.

He was driving a green car with white lettering on the door that had been scratched out, possibly a company vehicle.
